Professional Counseling Life After Graduation Series

Interactive sessions consist of presentation of pertinent information and the review of licensure case scenarios to provide guidance in understanding the Georgia licensure processes for the Associate Professional Counselor (APC) and Professional Counselor (LPC).  Participants are encouraged to bring drafts of their application for licensure, as each session will include opportunities to address specific licensure application questions and issues.

What to bring with you:

  • A notebook to take notes.
  • Questions & Concerns...we want to hear your voice so we can continue to advocate for you!
  • If you are currently in the application process, bring with you a hard copy or electronic copy of your transcripts.

Module: Licensure Application Process and Board Rules

  • Review of Georgia Licensure Application Process and Composite Board Rules/Requirements, including licensure rule changes that became effective October 1, 2018
  • Roles and Responsibilities of Supervisee and Supervisor
  • How to Apply to take the Licensure Examination
  • Importance of the Contract Affidavit and recommended Documentation Forms
