This in-person event at Berry College starts with national famous speaker and author on Trauma competency, Dr. Melinda Paige followed by issues and concerns with laws and rules.

Melinda Paige, PhD, LPC, CPCS, NCC has published and presented nationally on trauma competency, protective factors in the prevention of secondary trauma and self-injury. Dr Paige earned a Ph.D in Counselor Education and Practice and an Ed. S in Professional Counseling from Georgia State University. She has twenty-five years of clinical experience serving survivors of trauma as well as trauma mental health training and consultation experience. Melinda Paige is the founder of the Institute for Trauma Competency. Post-traumatic stress injury is a treatable medical condition.

Mr. Johnnie L. Jenkins, III is a Licensed Professional Counselor since 1999, a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor, a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisors, currently finishing his dissertation and providing outpatient substance abuse/ mental health services to adolescents in drug treatment. Mr. Jenkins serves at the LPCA PAC Chairman

Howard Gold recently retired after 35 years of practicing family law in Atlanta, Georgia and now offers consultation services to psychotherapists, family law attorneys, and their clients.
